Ambulatory Microphlebectomy is a method of removing varicose veins on the surface of the legs under local anesthesia. Varicose veins are removed via tiny punctures too small to stitch. Following the procedure patients can walk and resume normal activity within 24 hours.

Post Treatment Regimen

  • Wear compression stocking for first 24 hours
  • No strenuous activities for 3 days (ex. heavy lifting)
  • Ambulation: 30 minutes daily for 7 days
  • Don’t be alarmed – It is normal to experience some tenderness, possible bruising and discharge watery fluid from the leg where local anesthesia was administered
